Summary: What is it like to shop for clothes with Bobby Goren?
I love how this story starts off as pure humor but ends up offering us (and Alex) a glimpse into
Bobby's mind. My only quibble is that while I do have a soft spot for Goren/Eames, I'm just not sold on
the idea that Alex has a secret crush on Bobby.
Absalom

Summary: During a murder investigation, Alex wonders if she chose her life or if it chose her.
This is a wonderful novella that gives us a look at what an early season Alex might be thinking.
I could easily see this as a missing episode.
Actions, Reactions

This is one of those fics that I wasn't sure of at first, but the more I read it, the more it
grew on me. While I don't want it to happen, if they needed to write off Bobby and Alex, this would be a
perfect and heartbreaking way to do so.
Anticipation

Summary: Eames is coming back, and Goren can hardly stand the anticipation.
I love Bobby's characterization in this one. It's so very early season Goren, and Eames' one line
in it is pitch perfect.
Bar Hopping With a Sledgehammer

Summary: Goren and Eames are undercover. And Sam gets in the way.
I went into this one thinking it would end up a cliched Goren and Eames go undercover and end up
revealing/discovering their feelings for each other fic. I was wrong. While it does have hints of
Goren/Eames, it's actually got the feel of an early season episode where you get the POV of both the
detectives and the perps.
Broken Promise

I've been looking for something like this for a while now. I always thought Eames and Logan would
either hit it off or she would kill him. This takes the 'they hit it off' route. I love Logan's POV on his
relationship with Eames and how it effects his relationship with Goren.
Buried Treasure

Summary: Federal aid on a murder case unites Detectives Logan and Briscoe with Scully and Mulder,
only to reveal that two of them knew each other before.
A great crossover that offers some fantastic backstory for Logan and Scully and stays true to both
characters.
Cursed

Summary: He told her, "Don't count me out just yet," but they both knew he was lying.
A great angsty post-Great Barrier fic. This is something you can definitely see going through
Bobby's head.
Gun, Hand, Throat

Summary: The biggest lie anyone ever told Alex was that justice would prevail.
Written pre-Amends. The fic weaves togther a sweet love story and a dark and harsh reality and is
a great look at Alex when she's confronted with the one person who could push her over the edge.
If a Man Answers

Summary: Bobby suspects that Alex is seeing someone - and he's jealous.
A great little 'Lady or the Tiger' type fic. I like that although Bobby is a genius, there are
some things he doesn't pick up on right away.
Incomplete Information

Summary: Not all the information is in that file.
Written pre-Amends. While Amends was a great episode for Kathryn Erbe, I still wish it had never
been told. This story illustrates why. Like Bobby, we know the general information, but the details
belong to Eames.
Mantra

Summary: She never knew she had control issues until she got in a car with HIM.
I'm deliberately leaving a character out in the fic info because I didn't see the ending coming
and I think it's a hilarious twist.

Despite the title and summary this isn't a 'shippy fic. Instead it's a great look at Goren and
Eames' partnership and why it works.

A hilarious out of character Alex venting about her situation with a guest appearance by
everyone's favorite ADA, Abbie Carmichael!
The Rest Is Silence

Summary: Whoever coined the phrase "thunderous silence" really did know what he or she was talking
about and Alex will do anything - even speak to the dead - to keep it away.
A beautiful Alex-centric fic which is all at once sad, lovely, well written and in character.
The end, though inevitable, just sneaks in and sucker puches you anyway.
Touching

Total unabashed fluff that you can, if you squint slightly, see playing out in the early
seasons.
